freezin' frikkin' cold

(photo from travelblog.org)Boston has been so cold for so long my thoughts are too cold to funnel through the synapses. It just has not relented. I know I shouldn't complain because all my loved ones at home in PA just got hammered with over two feet of snow and are due for more, but I would definitely prefer that over constant Siberian-like conditions. The winds, the wind chills, I can't even remember the last time our temperature was above freezing.
I'm in some kind of winter depression - I am so irritable these days. I blame the cold, the wind, my inability to exercise outdoors in the cold and the wind, and my desire to over-eat as a survival mechanism. I need Spring like a fat kid needs exercise!
One major bit adding to my irritability and frustration is not knowing what to do about my taxes this year. Filing taxes with a non-resident alien is not as easy as I'd hope. I mean... I absolutely REFUSE to PAY the government money. Uncle Sam, you musta bumped yo head!
(image from hrblock.com)So I did something horrendous, unimaginable. I'm definitely going to regret this. I booked an appointment with H&R Block. O-M-G I am in for it.
Usually I regard H&R Block as a bunch of hooligans who don't actually know a thing about tax law and take money from people that are too lazy to use something as simple as TurboTax. However... I've done countless hours of internet research to the point where everything is running together. Not to mention all the double negative sentence structures on the IRS website make it nearly impossible to understand what the f*ck I'm actually supposed to do. Excuse my French!
Any of my loyal readers happen to be tax experts and wish to spare me a trip to the green box money-pit-insane-asylum?
