you're not better than bagging your own groceries, i promise.

There are pro's and con's about living in Brookline and being so close to a massive Trader Joes.  I mean... TJs is pretty fantastic considering the food is so good, fresh and cheap.  Let's also not forget the cheap wine - you had some at my wedding!  But it's a little too close to my house and I find that my legs are now programmed to walk in there straight from disembarking from the T.  :-/

Okay... so anyone who lives in Brookline KNOWS how busy this place is at any given hour or minute of the day.  So my question is, why do some people just stand there like counting sheep as the groceries are rang up and pile up.  Ok like... there is no belt... there is no bagger at the end of the belt.  Get it together and start bagging people!

It makes me SO mad.  There are obviously like 500 people in line behind you so then you make the poor cashier bag your groceries for you.  And of course the employees of Trader Joes are so super sweet and are trained to be so easy going that they'd never say anything.

I don't care if you want paper, plastic or bring your own - just bag your own gd groceries as they're rung up.  Don't worry, the nice cashier will help finish bagging while you pay.  It's really not rocket science.  GET IT TOGETHER.  You're not entitled.

I'm allergic to the suburbs

So here I find myself in Brookline, MA just outside downtown Boston. Still on the T (D line) but I really feel like I'm in a whole other world out here. There are kiddos and basketball nets and flower beds. :) However... this is also marks the second day that I cannot breathe in my own house!! I must be allergic to something out here - all the nature perhaps!

I just seriously hope it's not mold in the apartment that I'm reacting to. That would be awful. My allergy symptoms still linger while I'm at work but at home they are 100x worse. This is not good :(

I'm stealing internet from someone at the moment - thank you Linksys owners :) But we won't get our own internet and cable until Saturday. Entonces... I've FINALLY gotten into The Office. Which I know everyone raves is hysterical - and it totally is. I'm addicted, haha! Too bad it's on at the same time Grey's Anatomy is during the regular season. Will probably still watch Greys and catch the Office on DVD at some later time.

Help me with these allergies someone!!!!

On a much more exciting note - CHRISTIAN IS COMING!!! Yayyy :) I love my baby yep yep. He'll be here the 17th - 27th and I'm so psyched! I think we'll be heading home for a weekend on the tail end of his trip to see the fam! :)

Hope everyone is well!

lately.

It's been a long week. Apologies for no witty updates in awhile. Work has been.... stressful. I'm just getting through it one day at a time. :)

So, I got a new phone. I feel like gadget girl, haha. Obviously I'm broke but both my Palms got old and quit on me. I finally gave in and got a Blackberry - shame on me, I know! I still love Palm phones but can't help that T-Mo has the cheapest rates and no Palms to offer!!

Speaking of Palm, I just met up with my old boss from Palm EMEA this evening. Had a lovely dinner and some wine down on the water. It was good to catch up with Fiona - she always has a lot of good advice in advancing my career!

This weekend is Labor Day weekend. Guess what I get to do? MOVE. effin-a. I really hate moving, so tiring and usually realllly stressful! I have to pack everything up Sunday night and move first thing Monday morning. Bah Humbug. However, I'm so excited to be living in Brookline!!

Yeah so I guess I didn't have anything witty to say after all. Hope all my secret readers (all 3 of you? haha) are doing well.

Muchos.
