the yankees are vile

Here are a few words that come to mind when I think of The Yankees... loathe | seethe | vile | hatred | abomination |  disgust | abhor | evil... etc.  I know that Boston fans have felt this way for decades but it never hit home (no pun intended) until they stacked up against my Phils.

I hate them.  I'm totally caught up in the Yankee hating frenzy.  They're a bunch of overpaid, obnoxious, cocky, JERKS that don't deserve the title.  $15 million average salary for a Yankees starter.  $5 million for a Phillies.  Need I say more.  Phils have heart.

And I'm also heated about MVP going to DH Hideki Matsui.  A DH.  Play baseball like real men, pitchers are baseball players, too.  ARGH.

Aside from all that angst, I am really happy with the Phils for all their effort put forth.  Cliff Lee is an inspiration.  Chase Utley, a tie with Reggie Jackson is no small feat.  Ryan Howard, the WS was a little rough for you but I  still have love.  Jason Werth, astounding athlete (and handsome!).  Looking forward to 2010!

october was phantastic

Well many of you know, hubby came back for a month to spend some time with me while his planes were grounded.  So, October has been pretty amazing. ;)

Bad Romance. Lady Gaga's latest hit and I'm in love.  You can listen to it on ladygaga.com! Her new album The Fame Monster comes out Nov 23rd which means I will have exactly one week to learn all the lyrics for her CONCERT at the Wang Center Dec 1st. Yep. Get jealous.

Gail woke up in the wee hours of Saturday morning (10am) to order the tickets. After her page took 35 minutes to load (talk about site performance issues) she got us some siiiick seats. Thanks for your hard work Gail!

Sarah will be joining us for the madness (insanity, hot mess, sh*tshow) that is a Lady Gaga concert. Can't wait! Hope Wang Center doesn't discriminate on sunglasses and sparkles oww owww.

Totally should have been Lady Gaga for halloween but will just dress up as her for the concert instead! :D Anyone else going?

I bet I know what most of you are up to tonight. GAME ONE WORLD SERIES Phils vs Yanks.  GO PHILS! We're going home this weekend, too!  Can't wait!

phils to the world series!

WOOPTY WOOP!  The Phils are sick and nasty to put it in Boston terms but in Philly terms the Phils are phantastic!!! I'm SO excited. Almost as excited as I am to have Christian here as of tomorrow night. ;)

I just looked at tickets for games 3-5 home in Philadelphia and well it turns out I will not be able to afford $500 SRO tickets!  If someone has a hook-up definitely let me know but otherwise I will be wearing my Phillie's gear in a bar with huge TVs at home all weekend eatting nothing but artery clogging food!!!  Take that marathon training!

Life is good!

BTW - today is national Boss's Day, who knew?  The card I deemed appropriate to send today, haha.

'08 even better than '93

Phils Phils Phils- let's go Phils!  I'm so excited!  We're only one game away from the World Series! I really want to know what the possiblity is that there will be a home world series game while I'm home in Philadelphia Oct 23 - 26 because THIS GIRL wants to go!!  Anyone have any insight?

On sadder note - the Sox are flat out STRUGGLING.  :(  Down 1-2 in the series and in game 4 right now they're down by 4 runs in the 3rd.  I suppose a play-by-play in my blog is not that exciting, interesting or even appreciated, haha.

Today I didn't do a distance run.  However, I ran 2 miles in 17 minutes which is really fast for me!! It may seem like peanuts to all you super in shape people, but I'm proud of myself.

T minus 3 days until Christian gets here omg I can't waittttt!!!  I'm thinking we're going to check out the Head of the Charles this weekend if anyone is in Boston and wants to join us/hang out.
