where's the craic?

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone!  I am very nostalgic today.  Living in Boston and of course in Dublin spoiled the 1/2 part Irishy stuff in me!  In Boston we never felt too old to find ourselves in Faneuil Hall or on Boylston St to celebrate in a very collegiate style.  I'm pretty sure at age 24 I was at Lir after work wearing my Irish flag as a cape... it's fine?

This picture is from when Lizzie and Toni came to visit me for St. Patrick's Day weekend in Dublin.  We started the day at the parade, watched some rugby and ended up dancing the night away until some absurd hour of the morning at a club in Dublin.  Brilliant craic.

This year I will be going home after work only to sign into a remote meeting with my US colleagues (9 hours behind me so at least I can safely guess they won't be drinking yet) and then who knows... dinner with grandma? Watch Friends?  My life is pathetic but I love it just the same. :)

On second thought... albeit Danish, the Irish drink a TON of Carlsberg... I'm sure I could drink one or two in honor of them tonight! ;)

seriously, rain??

Mother nature stopped by this weekend. Gave us 6 inches of rain and is still going. I hate the rain. HATE it.

Yesterday I walked/stood in torrential downpours in Southie for 30 minutes trying to get a cab. Eventually I threw myself in front of one fully aware that dying would have been a relief to being repeatedly bitch slapped by mother nature.

Not much of a St Patricks day this year, that's okay though. I wasn't really into it. So the episode in the rain really didn't make me happy, at all.

This weekend and exercising were not best friends. Took the Mav for some long walks in the rain but running in the rain didn't happen. Back on it today. That's all I can do.

Mike, you better register for Broad Street - rain or shine boyyy!

This weather is completely miz. Let me express to you how much I want to go to work right now. Hm. Imagine a 4 year-old temper tantrum with all effects, crying, shrieking and obviously foot stomping. That about sums it up.
